Foster Care Awareness Month!
Foster Care Awareness Month is an annual observance in the United States held every May. Its primary purpose is to raise awareness about the needs of children in foster care and to recognize the individuals and families who provide care and support to these children.

How did we celebrate?
Our stores went BLUE to shine a light on young individuals transitioning from foster care. La La Land Kind Cafe made a tangible impact by donating 10% of signature drink sales from May 1st-31st to our La La Workforce Development Program, supporting foster youth.

Brunch Fundraiser
We recently hosted our very first brunch fundraiser in support of the La La Land Foundation’s initiatives that directly impact foster youth.
It was a beautiful, elevated experience featuring a delicious brunch, exclusive VIP drink tastings, a silent auction, and more. We’re so grateful to everyone who attended, donated, and helped make this event a success!

Silent Auction
In celebration of Foster Care Awareness Month, we hosted an elevated brunch with drink tastings, a silent auction, and more—and we’re thrilled to share that we reached our $30,000 goal!

Meet for Good
The La La Land Foundation and Houston Hot Spots teamed up to host “Meet for Good”—a vibrant, feel-good café takeover designed to spark meaningful connections while supporting foster youth. In addition to fostering community, the event featured a gift card donation drive, with all contributions benefiting youth in the La La Workforce Development Program.
From new friendships to shared purpose, the event brought the community together in a powerful show of kindness and impact.
